Intranet Advent Day 24 – You thought Christmas Cracker jokes were bad?
This is our last stocking-filler. We hope you’ve enjoyed them and wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
Christmas Crackers1 are notorious for their bad jokes2. Not to be outdone, we’d like to share with you some fun we had earlier this year thinking of ‘Intranet Clickbait’ headlines.
Clickbait links are the tantalizing ones about celebs, weight loss and the bizarre that lead us astray on websites such as Buzzfeed, Upworthy, and the Daily Mail). We wondered what would happen if intranets took the same approach.
#intranetlinkbait Friday fun: should your #intranet use more linkbait tactics? e.g. “The secret video the CEO didn’t want you to see”.#ic

1Crackers are largely a UK peculiarity, so if you don’t know them, they’re basically cardboard tubes with a small explosive, a hat, a joke, and a gift that nobody wants. An obvious combination when you think of it.
2Though I did hear a good one recently:
Q: Why did the chicken cross the mobius strip?
A: To get to the same side of the road.
