How to be reviewed by ClearBox

Everything you need to know about joining our independent review process.

Our review process is open, structured and impartial. Vendors bring the demos and context – we bring a consistent framework, experienced reviewers, and a commitment to producing fair, transparent, evidence-based assessments.

It’s a process that gives buyers confidence – and gives your product the chance to be understood properly.

Why vendors choose ClearBox

Being reviewed by ClearBox means joining a report trusted by organisations around the world. Our reviews are independent, detailed and shaped around real business scenarios, not feature tick-lists.

Buyers tell us they rely on our work to save weeks of research. Vendors tell us our insights help shape their roadmaps. Consultancies and investors use the report to support their own recommendations.

If you want your platform to be visible in that decision-making space, this is the route.

Who we include (and why)

We intentionally keep the list of reviewed products tight. That means any platform included is there because it stands out in ways buyers value.

When deciding which products to include, we look at:

  • Maturity – a product or vendor with a solid reputation and a track record with customers
  • Innovation – features or approaches that stand out in the marketplace
  • Understanding – how clearly the product’s capabilities, benefits and case studies are presented on the vendor’s website
  • Experience – what we see during demonstrations and our experience of working with the vendor
  • Activities – participation in the wider industry, such as webinars, white papers or blog posts
  • Presence – overall market presence and visibility

These factors help us ensure the report features the products we believe should be on readers’ shortlists.

Two ways to take part

1. Full Review

A deep dive designed for vendors who want their product explored in full.
It includes a three-hour demo, around 25 pages of detailed analysis, scenario-based scoring, non-functional requirements, product highlights and a 12-month licence – plus an extract of your review that you can use directly in your sales cycle.

2. Product Overview

A lighter option. You provide a standard 90-minute demo and we’ll produce a concise overview covering key information, non-functional requirements and a “ClearBox view” summary. You also have the option to receive an extract of your review and/or a 12-month licence of your overview content.

What the review journey looks like

The Questionnaire

Everyone completes the same structured questions, giving us the core non-functional details - data storage, deployment, office locations and indicative pricing. Appearing as tables to help buyers speed up RFPs. You can also opt for a review extract or a 12-month licence of your overview.

The Review

Our reviewers attend your demo, explore your product using our scenario framework, read your materials, and write up their findings. Every review goes through multiple rounds of editing to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Vendor Check

You see the draft (minus scores) to confirm factual accuracy. We correct anything that’s incorrect; opinions only change if they were based on an inaccuracy. The result is a balanced, dependable assessment buyers can trust.

What you’ll gain

  • An independent, in-depth exploration of your product
  • Expert guidance that can inform your roadmap
  • Valuable exposure alongside other leading products
  • Clear comparability for buyers
  • Visibility among consultancies and investors
  • Alongside your review, you can choose to receive marketing-ready extracts and assets – supported by the wider promotional activity we run around the report, which consistently boosts vendor visibility across articles, webinars, social campaigns and partner channels.

It’s not just an evaluation – it’s a presence in the conversations where decisions are made.

Our Independence

ClearBox has no reseller relationships, no sponsorships, and no software to sell. Our reviews highlight both strengths and areas for improvement, and every score is based on a consistent scenario framework used across all products.

That independence is central to how we work – and why buyers, analysts and vendors trust the results.
