Take part in the global Intranet Innovation Awards

Take part in the global Intranet Innovation Awards

The Intranet Innovation Awards are open and accepting submissions up to Friday 6th June.

The Australian awards, hosted by Step Two Designs, has a global reach and this year there are seven judges involved, including Sam Marshall of ClearBox, Ellen van Aken from the Netherlands, Martin White, and Steve Bynghall from the UK

There are five award categories, and Step Two Designs encourages entrants to focus on specific intranet projects that have delivered definable benefits:

  • Core intranet functionality
  • Social, collaboration and communication
  • Business and frontline
  • Enterprise mobility
  • Intranet rework.

The judges are keen to see examples of intranets adding value, extending outside the corporate world, and really engaging employees. If you’re an intranet manager, please do consider submitting an entry.

Barclays MobilePrevious UK winners

The Intranet Innovation Awards give several gold awards and one platinum award, as well as commendations.

The UK was well represented within the global submissions. Talk to your colleagues about entering this year.

In 2013, Barclays Bank won platinum for their mobile intranet that provided rich functionality for frontline staff, and Coca-Cola Enterprises won gold for their employee self-serve via their mobile intranet (which, incidentally, increased news reading too).

Arup, and Shepherd and Wedderburn, also won commendations.

I support ClearBox in everything we do online, and I assist clients that are considering redeveloping or replacing their intranet platform. I worked in global and regional organisations as the intranet manager as part of the comms team, before becoming an intranet consultant. I'm the founder of the Intranet Now annual conference. I’ve tweeted about intranets and comms for fifteen years now.
