ClearBox ‘Intranet Choices’ Winners 2025

ClearBox ‘Intranet Choices’ Winners 2025

With so many intranet platforms to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why each year we name a small number of ClearBox Choices – platforms we believe are especially likely to feature on many organisations’ shortlists. These aren’t selected based on market noise or slick marketing; they’re chosen because they truly stand out in a competitive and capable field.

Our decision is based on a combination of factors: scenario scores, price point, standout features, a progressive roadmap, and real-world customer feedback. It’s never an easy selection – the quality across the board is high – and we’re grateful to all the vendors who take part.

As ever, we’re not claiming these are the “best” platforms. There is no universal winner – only the platform that best matches your organisation’s needs. We encourage buyers to begin with a clear sense of goals and requirements, and to use the Choices as a helpful starting point for further evaluation. Blink.

Blink

Blink impresses us with their dedication to frontline workers. The vendor not only offers a mobile experience that clearly understands this audience’s needs, but they deliver boots-on-the-ground service that’s rare in this industry. Yes, parts of the desktop experience are simpler than other solutions we’ve reviewed, but for organisations with clear mobile requirements, Blink stands out.

Fresh

Fresh does a great job of sticking closely to SharePoint and Microsoft features, yet provides excellent capabilities that enhance the experience. It is particularly strong in news and content management and provides good support for communities as well. We also felt the use of AI for search and information management was among the stronger examples we saw, and we look forward to seeing what comes next.

Interact

Interact is the highest scoring independent intranet solution this year and performs well in all scenarios, making it an excellent all-rounder. It delivers a strong user experience and internal communicators will particularly appreciate the features on offer, which we felt could deliver almost everything a communicator may want.

Oak Engage

Oak Engage offers an impressive range of features, and it stands out with its overall ease of use, which delivers a superb employee experience. The community features are particularly strong, delivering capabilities that prove how valuable communities of knowledge can still be for organisations. We also like the AI-driven content delivery system, helping communicators reach people in the most appropriate ways and at the best time.

Omnia

Omnia is the highest scoring SharePoint intranet-in-a-box platform this year, replacing the SharePoint front-end while preserving the power of Microsoft behind the scenes. The experience for all users is excellent, while practical features such as the search and integrations with business systems are particularly noteworthy.

Unily

Unily was among the highest scoring products this year, with numerous stand-out features. Community capabilities and information finding is among the best we’ve seen across all platforms. We appreciate the thought that has gone into integrations with business systems and think the partnership with Workgrid offers some really exciting possibilities in the near future.
