“All I want for Christmas is a search tool that works”. It isn’t really about all this digital technology, it’s about how people work together, how they get things done, and whether they’re treated as trusted adults.
For example, a flexible working policy that says you can work from home doesn’t cover the reality of mobile working – organisations and managers need to go further. Equally, when the technology evolves but company approaches don’t, we risk sleepwalking into a new digital workplace that misses out on opportunities.
To keep it simple, we put together a Digital Workplace Manifesto, written from the employee’s perspective.
